Getting to know Roberto Gimenez

Hello, I look forward to meeting you! My name is Dr. Roberto Gimenez, DNP. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP). I earned my Master’s in Family Nursing from Touro University. I am an experienced PMHNP dedicated to helping those with mental health needs achieve optimal mental health status. I have worked in health care since 1997. I have a wide range of medication management experience across the lifespan, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, ADHD, OCD, mood disorders, personality disorders, and substance use disorder, as well as Veteran-centric care. There is a time in our lives when things can be challenging—when it’s tough to push ourselves forward, lose our optimism and resilience, and see everything as dark and confusing without finding a solution. In these instances, many of us need a guiding hand. It is at these times that an experienced mental health professional becomes vital to finding balance in the ever-changing world in which we live—to see the possible ways to come out of the hole we feel we are in and find those solutions we cannot find by ourselves. In those cases, it is essential to apply both non-pharmacological and pharmacological treatment.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients will feel heard, validated, and hopeful after our sessions together. Working through hard stuff is never easy but is doable and extremely rewarding. Along with a sense of rapport and support, my client can expect to come away feeling that together we have created a realistic action plan for symptom improvement and wellness using a clinical approach into practice, focusing on a collaborative and patient-centered relationship, helping clients struggling with a wide range of psychiatric illness improve their mental health. I integrate cognitive behavioral therapy and safe medication management to enhance their mental and psychological well-being.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
