Getting to know Dr. Roberto Irizarry
I’m a psychologist who works only with Spanish-speaking clients. I have a doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Albizu University, an entity accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA); my degree was approved by the Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain. I currently have a Florida psychologist's license. In addition, I am certified as a Professional Coach and I have ACC credentials from the International Coaching Federation, the largest coach entity in the world.
I have around 20 years of professional work experience working in different clinical and cultural settings. I work with young people, adults and older adults in the modality of individual therapy, couples therapy, family and group therapy. I have a natural and empathic approach to therapy that focuses on individual strengths and building a strong therapeutic relationship. Using the strength of the therapeutic relationship and my clinical skills, I work with clients to develop strategies that help with decreased emotional symptoms.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My style of therapy is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I will tailor our discussion and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step towards a fuller and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services.
