Robin Ashinoff, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist who received her BA from the Johns Hopkins University, Phi beta And then went on to New York University for medical school and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed a medical internship at the New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center and then return to New York University skin and cancer unit to train in dermatology. She was elected chief resident in 1989 and then completed a year research at the Rockefeller University in New York. She then return to New York University to do a two-year fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery, laser and dermatologic surgery. She joined a full-time faculty at New York University Medical Center Department of dermatology in 1991 as an Assistant Professor and was later promoted to Associate Professor. She was elected Chief of Dermatologic, Mohs and Laser surgery in 1993 and held this position for over 10 years, before coming to practice at Hackensack University Medical Center. She has lectured and published extensively in the field of skin cancer, Mohs surgery and laser surgery she is a national and internationally recognized expert in the field of skin cancer, lasers and cosmetic dermatology. She has been elected by Castle in Connolly’s as a top doctor since 1996. She is also been elected to Americus Top Dermatologists, Best Cancer Doctors. She evaluates patients for a variety of skin cancers including basal and squamous cell carcinomas, melanomas, dysplastic nevi and benign lesions such as this and lipomas. She performs Mohs micrographic surgery, excisional surgery and lasers for variety of medical and cosmetic indications. She also performs cosmetic evaluations and treatments with topical agents, botulinum toxins, fillers, peels and microneedling.
