Care begins with a comprehensive ADHD-focused evaluation to determine whether Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder is contributing to current difficulties. The initial visit includes a detailed review of symptoms, developmental and academic history, functional impairment, prior treatment, and relevant medical factors.
If ADHD is diagnosed, treatment options are discussed in a clear and collaborative manner. When medication is appropriate, prescribing is thoughtful and conservative, with education provided regarding benefits, risks, and expectations.
Follow-up appointments are scheduled regularly to monitor response, side effects, and overall functioning. During early treatment or medication adjustments, visits typically occur monthly. Once symptoms are stable, follow-ups may occur every 6–8 weeks based on clinical need.
