He cares for patients of all ages suffering from a wide variety of sleep issues including insomnia, sleep apnea, and movement disorders.
Dr. Miranda completed a critical care fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a pulmonary fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he also became chief resident. He underwent sleep medicine training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey. He is the director of the New York Sleep-Wake Institute and Pulmonary Division at the New York Cardiovascular Associates, as well as an attending physician in pulmonary/critical care at the NYU Medical Center, the Central Bronx Medical Center, and Jacobi Medical Center.

Positive perception of this visit. I was first patient that day so didn't have any wait time. It was my first visit so hard to say much about the quality of the diagnosis, but Doctor spent a decent time on interview trying to fully understand my condition. I really liked Dr. Miranda's professional yet empathic demeanor. He took all my concerns seriously, and went beyond the problem that I had gone to him with. This was great because there were many issues that I had become very hopeless about, but he tackled them in a very efficient manner, giving me hope that I can get better.

I arrived a few minutes late to my appointment but that was no problem at all and I was seen immediately. The nurses that took my vitals when I came in were extremely friendly, as were all of the receptionists I spoke to. The office is clean and the waiting room was comfortable (granted I spent very little time there). Dr. Miranda was very personable and professional; I felt completely comfortable speaking with him. I recently moves to New York so I was really just catching up and getting to know a new doctor that could treat my narcolepsy so the appointment was quick, but he was able to take care of me without any problems. I'm glad I chose Dr. Miranda and would definitely recommend!
