About Dr. Rohan Dang

Dr. Dang has a decade of experience as a family medicine physician. Dr. Dang is dual board certified in Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine (expert in medical weight loss), from the American Board of Family Medicine and American Board of Obesity Medicine, respectively. Dr. Dang was born and raised in Canada and holds a medical degree from the University of Calgary. He completed his residency training in family medicine at the University of Toronto.
Prior to launching Optimize Medical Primary Care, Dr. Dang’s experience includes serving as:
- Associate Faculty and a primary care physician at Duke University Health System in Durham, North Carolina
- Medical Director of and urgent care physician at the University of Miami / Jackson Health Urgent Cares
- Medical Director of and urgent care physician at a large independent urgent care chain in Miami-Dade County

Wonderful from start to finish, I scheduled my appointment before work and the office staff and the doctor got me in and out quickly without skipping a step and I felt like I was actually listened to for what I want from my doctor and was given excellent advice on how to achieve my health goals. 10/10 would visit this doctor anytime. Perk, you can have you samples taken for labs in the office which is extremely convenient.
