Dr. Aiyer is a Double Board-Certified Psychiatrist and Founder of Mind and Brain Link.
He started his academic path by completing a 4 Year BSc. Honors Degree in Life Sciences at the prestigious Queen’s University in Canada. He then received his Medical Doctorate degree at one of the top medical schools in the United Kingdom, University of Birmingham in England. He then went on to complete his Psychiatry residency at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell Health at Staten Island University Hospital in New York City. He then completed his Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical College.
He is committed to staying current with the latest research, proven by his numerous publications (over 45 publications and 10 book chapters) and is a member of editorial boards for several prestigious journals. He has been involved and co-authored several international guidelines, as well as being a principal investigator and leader for clinical trials and research studies, that have been published in high impact journals. He is currently involved in ongoing research studies. In addition, he has delivered several oral presentations and abstracts at international conferences.
Dr. Aiyer is a member of many societies in Psychiatry, and holds appointments on various committees, including the Education Committee for the North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS) and the Leadership Council for American Society of Pain and Neuroscience (ASPN). What should a new client know about working with you?
At Mind and Brain Link, we require all new potential patients to initial do a 15 minute phone screen. When you schedule your virtual appointment on ZocDoc, you are scheduling for a phone screen.
During this phone screen, Dr. Rohit Aiyer will obtain your background psychiatric history.
After the phone screen, if you are determined to be a good fit for Mind and Brain Link practice, you will then be scheduled for an in person, in office 1 hour initial evaluation, which will be charged at the Mind and Brain Link out of network fee.
If you are determined to not be a good fit for Mind and Brain Link practice, you will be provided with contacts and resources for other mental health practices that may be of better fit.
