Marriage and Family Therapist
CA
The provider is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and is currently working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. Their current employer is HOPE, OPPORTUNITY & MENTAL EMPOWERMENT. With over a decade of dedicated service in the field of mental health and family support, I am a Marriage and Family Therapist whose practice is deeply rooted in compassion, evidence-based interventions, and a commitment to social impact. My journey began as an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) provider, where I spent six years supporting children with developmental needs before earning my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Throughout my career, I have worked across diverse settings—including elementary schools, community mental health agencies, residential eating disorder programs, and specialized services for adults experiencing homelessness and reentry after incarceration. I have held leadership roles as a Program Manager overseeing Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) for children and adolescents, as well as administrative and clinical services for vulnerable adult populations. My clinical approach is enriched by advanced training and certifications in the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P), Seeking Safety, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Managing and Adaptive Practices, and Motivational Interviewing. Recognized by the City of Los Angeles for my work as a parent coach, I am passionate about empowering families with practical skills and psychoeducation. Beyond my professional roles, my lived experience as a foster parent for over seven years has provided invaluable perspective on navigating complex systems, supporting reunification, and advocating for children and families. Guided by this blend of clinical expertise and personal insight, I remain dedicated to promoting resilience, healing, and systemic change in the communities I serve.
