About Dr. Ron Bouffard
Ronald P. Bouffard graduated summa cum laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, in 1995, earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Prior to joining Aligned Modern Health, Dr. Bouffard practiced in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, for 25 years, where he established his own Chiropractic and Functional Wellness Clinic. He is a Board-Certified Chiropractic Internist and a Board-Certified Clinical Nutritionist. Dr. Bouffard is a current member of the American Chiropractic Association's Council on Nutrition, where he serves as Director of Practice Development.

Dr. Bouffard is an incredible provider. He is extremely knowledgeable, and willing to investigate the root of your issue until he finds the correct solution. He is also very informative and taught me so much about the influence of diet. Instead of living with chronic issues or masking them with medications, he can help you resolve them and teach you how to stay well for years to come. I highly recommend functional medicine, especially with Dr. Bouffard!

I really appreciated his years of experience in handling tricky conditions like Lyme disease. He didn't disregard any of my weird symptoms either and made me feel heard.

I had a great experience with Dr. Bouffard! He's so knowledgeable and he takes the time to address my concerns. He practices Functional Medicine, and he goes above and beyond what other doctors have done for me in the past. he takes the time to go over my concerns, my lab results and, most importantly he explains why we're doing what we're doing. I highly recommend him!

I'm so happy I decided to switch fuctional medicine providers. Dr Bouffard has been amazing! He takes the time to listen to me and address my health concerns. He is genuinely concerned for his patients. I'm glad to have him on my team as a health provider. He's is one of the few doctors I look forward to my visits with.

I am really happy I started seeing Dr. Bouffard. His experience in functional medicine is helping to find the root cause of my symptoms. He has a one-step-at-a-time approach as to not be too overwhelming, which I appreciate. I also appreciate that the front desk is very welcoming and helpful if I have any problems with scheduling or billing. I highly recommended Dr. Bouffard and Aligned Modern Health.

Dr. Bouffard is a very personable Dr. that has a very practical and reasonable approach to functional medicine. He listens attentively to the patient’s concerns and is careful not to overwhelm with too many protocols to follow at once. He works with you to get as much of your nutrition from your diet as possible so that you can learn to supplement that way rather than overprescribing supplements. Overall working with him has been an improvement to my overall health and outlook on my various issues.

Dr. Bouffard is so knowledgeable and has increased my quality of life tenfold by helping me solve my SIBO and thryoid issues. I cannot recommend him highly enough to anoying looking into functional medicine.

Because he specializes in Lyme, he was more astute than most doctors. Plus, his background as a chiropractor, gave him insights behind the average Joe. One thing I do love, too, are his metaphors for explaining how the body works so we can be more patient with our protocol. He found stuff that was wrong with me that both Raby Institute and Northwestern did NOT find. I finally have hope.
