I have been practicing for 37 years and have spent 30 years in Middle Georgia practicing General Psychiatry. I served as Medical Director of Charter Lake Hospital Outpatient. In addition to psychiatry, I have been trained in surgery and internal medicine. I earned my Doctor of Medicine from Howard University, completed an internship in Psychiatry at Columbia University, and finished my residency in Psychiatry at Meharry Medical College. I truly believe in helping the community and continuing to have a positive impact.

Dr. Blount has over 30 years experience and its very apparent once you meet him. His wisdom and knowledge is the reason why he is rated so high in he central georgia area.

The two ladies at the front deck are so sweet, welcoming, and polite. Dr Blount is a sweet soul,no matter his disability he makes sure his patients comes first,the first time saw him he had time to listen to my problems and i felt so relieved. Thank you Dr. Blount for saving my life from depression.

My visit was pleasant from the time I walked in to the time I left. Checking in at the desk I was greeted warmly and I didn’t have to wait long.
Dr Blount’s bedside manner is second to none. He answered my questions, I never felt rushed and felt comfortable talking with him. I would recommend Dr Blount without hesitation.
