Ronnie Isaacson, PA-C

Physician Assistant
UT
I’m a certified physician assistant specializing in psychiatry, and I’m passionate about helping people rediscover purpose, stability, and joy in their lives. When we work together, my goal is to really understand your story—your challenges, your strengths, and what matters most to you. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management, but I also believe in treating the whole person. Alongside medication, I often encourage counseling, spiritual growth (when appropriate), good nutrition, and exercise as powerful tools for long-term well-being. My path to mental health care began long before PA school—I started my career at Montana State Hospital as a psychiatric technician, then worked at a wilderness retreat supporting at-risk youth. Watching those young people grow, heal, and regain control of their lives deeply shaped the way I approach care today. Before becoming a PA, I worked for Idaho Fish and Game as a Conservation Officer, which helped me appreciate the restorative power of nature and human connection. I earned my Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Northern Arizona University and have since focused on providing thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care for individuals seeking balance and healing. Outside of work, I’m a devout Christian, husband and father who loves camping, hiking, and fishing with my family. Please note: I am accepting new patients for ongoing medication management support. I do not provide therapy.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You can expect an open, collaborative relationship built on trust and respect. I take time to listen, explain, and make sure you feel comfortable with every step of your care plan. Mental health is foundational to healthy relationships and a fulfilling life, and it’s an honor for me to walk alongside my patients as they work toward stability, confidence, and hope.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I start with a thorough evaluation to understand your history, current challenges, and priorities. Together, we create a personalized plan that may include medication management, therapy referrals, or lifestyle strategies to strengthen overall wellness.

After scheduling your appointment, you will receive an email from Stella Mental Health (formerly Numinus) containing your intake paperwork. Please allow about 30 minutes to complete this form. Your responses will help your provider prepare for your upcoming appointment. All patients are required to complete the intake form 24 business hours before their appointment. You will receive a phone call from one of our dedicated Care Advocates, who can answer any questions you may have. Please be prepared to provide a credit card to keep on file for co-pays or cancellation fees. Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full intake appointment fee ($292). During your intake appointment, you’ll spend 60 minutes with your provider collaborating on a treatment plan tailored to your needs. If in-person treatments are recommended—such as TMS, Spravato, DSR SGB, or ketamine therapy—our care team will guide you through the process and ensure you feel supported every step of the way.
