As a clinical psychologist with more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Zapp works with adults who experience various concerns, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, family, relationship, and parenting difficulties, work issues, grief and loss, medical concerns, or feeling overwhelmed with daily demands. Through a supportive and empathic approach, she collaborates with clients to develop more positive coping strategies, set appropriate boundaries, and establish healthy self-care behaviors. She utilizes an integrative approach to therapy, including cognitive behavioral and insight-oriented therapies, focusing primarily on the client's current life and helping them make positive and lasting changes. Dr. Zapp earned a Master of Arts in Psychology from Pepperdine University and a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) from Alliant International University, California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP), San Diego campus. She has been a licensed psychologist in California since 2001 and in Wyoming since 2019. Dr. Zapp has worked with diverse populations, including adults with traumatic brain injury, Camp Pendleton Marines and their families, school populations and their families, at-risk children, general private practice clients, and employee assistance program (EAP) members. She has conducted individual, couples, family, and group therapy, as well as crisis interventions, intake assessments, and psychological and educational assessments. Dr. Zapp helps clients gain insight, enhance coping skills, and form healthy relationships, leading to a more satisfying and productive life.
