Rose Crider, RD, MS

Dietitian
MI
Rose became interested in nutrition as a collegiate athlete seeking to optimize her nutrition for athletic performance. From there, she developed a passion for using food to improve quality of life and prevent chronic disease. Rose earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from the University of Minnesota and also attended Macalester College. She went on to receive a Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition from Winthrop University. She has worked in a variety of settings, including a hospital, family medicine clinic, and virtually for an app-based telehealth company. Rose has experience working with pediatric and adult patients facing various health concerns such as diabetes, heart disease, obesity and overweight, chronic kidney disease, underweight, pediatric weight management, IBS, disordered eating, and vegetarian/vegan diets. Since becoming a mother, she has developed a deeper interest in pre- and postnatal nutrition as well as pediatric nutrition. Rose uses a holistic approach to nutrition, believing that food provides not only sustenance but also emotional and social enrichment. She works with patients to improve their relationship with food so they can be physically, emotionally, and mentally healthy. As a genuine, compassionate, and empathetic provider, she meets her patients where they are. Rose believes each patient has the resources within themselves to make dietary changes but may sometimes need a guide to provide education, encouragement, and support throughout the process. In her free time, Rose enjoys spending time with her family, hiking and camping, mountain biking, playing soccer, reading, and cooking.
