About Dr. Roxanne Lim

Dr. Lim earned her medical degree at the University of the Philippines College of Medicine. Following graduation, she completed her internship and residency training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. She then completed her Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Missouri and Harry S. Truman Veterans’ Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. She also worked as a hospitalist in Rush University in which she supervised medical students and internal medicine residents.
Dr. Lim joined United Gastroenterologists in 2014. Current interests in Gastroenterology include gastrointestinal women’s health, irritable bowel syndrome, colon cancer screening and surveillance, video capsule endoscopy, esophageal disorders, and viral hepatitis.
Dr. Lim consistently made it to the Dean’s List throughout medical school and she graduated at the top of her class. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Lim is also an active member of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) and American College of Gastroenterology (ACG).

Incompetent stuff, they changed my appointment 3 times.
First time, they said the provider is going on vacation, second time, they changed it to another time, then when I went to the appointment, the office was closed, I called and they said, well, we changed your appointment to Friday and more it’s tele Medicine.
I will not use them anymore.

As always, Dr. Lim was very personable, and after a year and a half since my last visit, she asked about my wife who suffered from dementia and we talked like our last visit was last week and not last year.
Professionally she has taken very good care of me for a number of years and I have nothing but good things to say about her as well as her staff who are always welcoming and very friendly - as well as professional at the appropriate times.

Dr. Lim was kind, considerate, understanding, knowledgeable, and helpful. She took my symptoms and pain seriously, and explored all options to figure out what might be going wrong. She's an amazing doctor - full of energy and very sympathetic and understanding of your symptoms. I'm young (early 20s) and all other GI have always attributed everything to stress and giving the same medications over and over x years without any symptoms. I waited over an hour to see Dr. Lim. I have been having problems with my stomach for years and have done enough research to know that the symptoms I? am experiencing overlap with many different gastro disorders. The only disorder that Dr. Lim wanted to test for was SIBO (which I? was quite certain I? didn’t have). My test for SIBO came back negative as expected. I? wish she would have considered other explanations for my symptoms and conducted a more comprehensive testing on me. Now I? have to go see another doctor to find out what’s going on.

I was seen before my appointment time! Dr. Lim was very kind and explains things thoroughly. All the gastroenterologists ive seen in the past just want to pump me full of medications. It seems like Dr. Lim actually wants to see what is going on and work to fix it. Totally worth my long commute! :)
