What should a new client know about working with you?

PLEASE NOTE, I’M IN-NETWORK WITH AETNA. I DO NOT ACCEPT MEDICARE OR MEDICAID. My therapeutic style is characterized by warmth, engagement, and a genuine personal connection. I believe in establishing a strong, collaborative relationship with each client, where we work together to make informed decisions about their treatment. My practice is inclusive and welcoming, embracing diversity in culture, background, and experience. I have worked with a wide range of clients, including students, parents, professionals from various fields, skilled tradespeople, service industry workers, retail employees, entrepreneurs, artists, and technology experts. I am committed to providing a safe and supportive space where each individual feels heard, understood, and empowered to achieve their therapeutic goals. I became a Psych NP because I wanted to improve mental health care and awareness Starting mental health treatment can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I’ve helped many people who are new to mental health care feel comfortable, supported, and understood throughout the process.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Booking Process: Request your appointment time on Zocdoc. My office will email you an online intake form to ensure I’m able to help you. If we’re a fit, we’ll reach out to confirm an appointment time. I try my best to keep slots available each week for new clients. Your First Visit: The initial session is a comprehensive, one-hour evaluation which allows me to understand your current symptoms and difficulties, and learn about important aspects of your past psychiatric, medical, social, educational, and family histories. At the end of the session, we’ll determine the best treatment course. Session frequency ranges from weekly to monthly depending on the type of treatment you’re looking for. If you’re already seeing a therapist, I’m happy to collaborate with them while guiding the medication aspect of your treatment. However, many of my clients see me for both therapy and medication management.
