She was really friendly, helpful and her office smelled great!!
I felt judged about everything I've told her and she decided I needed to be thrown in a hospital her staff are very rude not very much of people persons
Dr. Shakil clearly cares about her patients & is so welcoming it’s easy to talk to her. I’m so happy I’ve found her!
She said she didn't feel comfortable seeing me because of the medicine I was taking. I wasted gas and money to see her. Thanks for literally nothing. And the staff is rude.
Doctor Shakil was very concise and knowledgeable during the new patient appointment. She was empathetic to my issues, and understood the extent of what I was experiencing. I will be referring family and friends to her in the future.
Very direct but empathetic. Knows what shes doing and cares about finding the best solution for you.
I loved Rubina, she is so sweet! Completely understanding about everything and a great psychiatrist. Very easy to open up to and has an abundance of knowledge. Overall, a great experience and I would highly recommend her to others.
Terrible customer service. All they care about is churning through people to get their precious co-pays.
She was able to point me in the right direction as far as what I needed to do moving forward.
Has keen knowledge of her profession. Cares about you understanding all instructions and processes.
Very concise which I love but has a great bed side manner, she makes you feel like you are her most important patient
She is one of those types of docs you need to not judge too quickly. She comes across rather abrupt at first, but I am glad I continued to see her. She is very professional and business-like, but she is a good listener and is very sympathetic when appropriate. She even hugged me on one visit as I was leaving, saying she was sorry I had to be going through such a difficult time. She seems to know her stuff as far as meds go. Overall a good, helpful experience.
I get to the office and get seen right away.
She is amazing!
She was absolutely no help at all
She immediately acuused me of being addicted to my anti-anxiety medication which I hadn't taken in over 3 months. I told her my normal dosage which is FAR lower than the maximum and she looked at me like a drug addict. Besides, she's not a very happy person so why would I want her to treat me?
I was very pleased with my first visit with Dr. Rubina Shakil. Working in a doctors office myself, I understand how important it is to have a doctor that is not only very knowledgable and informative about your condition, but is also genuinely concerned about your well-being. I definitely recommend her!
I'm starting to really like her
I do not recommend this woman. She is condescending and very unhelpful.
I only waited about 10minutes for my appointment. Shockingly though, she saw 2 other patients during that time. On my first visit I think she spent about 10minutes with me and she stared at a computer screen the whole time. Second appointment lasted maybe 5 minutes and she didn't like what I had to say so she basically yelled at me. Horrible demeanor, horrible attitude. Won't be back.
she required money up front in addition to my co pay, then canceled my medication when I couldn't not afford to see her on a weekly basis...very interested in making money not so much caring for the needs of the client.....
Very helpful. She was pleasant, professional, asked pertinent questions, and listened well. She made definite recommendations and I will continue to see her.
She was very professional, compassionate, and had very good recommendations. I was very pleased.
Patient and non-judgemental. Made me feel very comfortable.
The staff was professional and greeted me upon arrival. Dr Shakil was very warm and compassionate. I felt she was easy to relate to and asked the right questions to determine next steps. I would highly recommend her services.
Dr. Shakil is very professional yet made me immediately feel at ease. She seemed genuinely interested and concerned with and explained her findings thoroughly. I am completely satisfied and feel better already.
she is a timid dr fior this type of carrer told I don't allow my patients to yell at and I was not yelling and ive got a witness there with me when the visit was going on my spouse
She was the worst psychiatrist I have ever seen and should be barred from practicing medicine.
Dr. Shakil is a nice person. However, make sure if it's your first visit or you have not visit her for longer than 6 month to book a 45 minutes appointment. Her staff is not great at caching this kind of stuff. I had a really bad experience; however Dr. Shakil was kind enough to make accommodate me.
Great doctor with good advice
I have made multiple appointments with this dr and every time they tell me that they did not receive my ZocDoc appt info and cannot see me. They have cancelled on me 4 times now and even though I'm NOT a new patient, they say I have to fill out 20 pages of patient info AGAIN, and will not let me see the therapist without seeing the psychiatrist again, even though I do not need any medication!! That is ALL Dr Shakil does, is hand out scripts! She doesn't listen, I can be a better psych to my own self. Wouldn't recommend to anyone!
She is always very prompt and on time with appointments. She is very knowledgeable and understanding....as well as a great listener.
I think Dr. Shakil has excellent bedside manner and very good clinical skills. However, she refused to fill out paper work or even write one sentence on a piece of paper stating that I could only work 20 hours a week. Therefore, I was unable to collect partial disability. I have had several hospitalizations for my mental illness including one in December 2013 and she agreed I should only work part-time. I don't understand why she refused to write down what she told me in person. This has worsened my anxiety and put a lot of stresses on me. Now, I have to find a new psychiatrist.
She is very easy to talk to and is genuinely concerned for her patients. She was not rushed, listened intently and gave very sound, realistic suggestions to my life issues. I would highly recommend her.
I will not be going back to this Dr. She required that I send her all completed paperwork more than a week before my appointment, yet it was very obvious that she hadn't read a single word of it. I told her that I was there because I wanted to manage my problems without any medication. She told me that I will probably always have panic attacks, wrote me a prescription for 2 medicines, and told me I needed to get counseling. It was my understanding that Psychiatrist are supposed to counsel people. She had no interest in doing anything other than writing prescriptions.
Dr. Shakil was very understanding and very courteous. I enjoyed her professionalism and her office staff is really nice as well.
She was very
Professional, easy to talk to, efficient.
She was very polite. I found her on Zoc Doc after my previous psychiatrist retired and I think she is good at what she does. She seems very concerned to help me.
Don't go see this doctor, she was not any help to me. She lies about anything. I guess she is afraid of losing her green card or visa! Don't waste your time or effort.
Not satisfied with the way she handles prescribed medications. Would never go back.
I got in 15 minutes early. She gave sensible recommendations.
The Dr is kind and professional. My daughter sees her for Bipolar disorder. She gets to the point and gives a lot of good information in a short amount of time. I like the fact I can make appointments on-line and easily see availability. The office also has a calm atmosphere.
She was kind, caring, knowledgeable, and listened to me and my wants and ideas. I really like her and that's saying something because i generally don't like people at all.
I enjoy her as a doctor, however I've had many run ins with her receptionist and I never get calls back.
I found this doctor after another ZocDoc specialist flaked on me at the last minute, She saw me quickly and, while she couldn't address my problems herself in a manner that wouldn't cause me more harm because of cerebral palsy, she referred me to a counselor in her office who has the appropriate background and training, and does so without medications.
Determined to help me through my problems
I was very comfortable with Dr. Shakil, she was caring yet professional, informative and easy to talk to.
She was great! Listened to all my concerns, and actually gave me a diagnosis fairly quickly. She gave me options instead of just one route to take. Highly recommend!
Nice office, seems to be a good doctor.
too early to tell...only spoke with her for 15 minutes
Listened carefully, knew what I was going to say before I even said it....strange huh?? :)
Dr. Shakil, was wonderful with my adult daughter! She is very pleasant person. Made us feel at ease right away! Her staff was very nice as well. This was our first time meeting with Dr. Shakil....its always a hit or miss situation. This was a HIT! I'm glad we ave found her! Thank you!!
It went great! Very supportive, listened well, and throughly discussed a plan of action with me.
Dr Shakil is a true professional part of a dying bread of doctors that truly care for a patient. How lucky i am under her care.
This lady is useless. She referred me back to my physician and he had to do her job for her. I wasted money on a copay twice with this lady. Even after I did exactly what she asked at our first meeting, I felt like she wouldn't even hear what I had to say at the second.
Dr. Shakil was very patient and informative. I had quality time with her and left feeling she listened and offered a great insight. I highly recommend Dr. Shakil.
Very good & easy to talk to. She gave me some options about meds.
She was VERY nice and understanding. She treated me like a person, not a number, and I REALLY appreciated her!!!!
She very quickly understood the problem, was familiar with the circumstances we described
Dr. Shakil take time to listen to your problem. I feel very secure talking to hear by knowing that I am in a good hand.
At first I was nervous and didn't know what to think but her geniune smile makes you feel a little more at ease.
Dr. Shakil was very thorough in her questioning, trying to get a picture of where I have been, where I am now and where her treatment might take me.
I felt a little bit rushed...but she was still great! I would recommend her!
She was very nice, pleasant and easy to talk to. I went in extremely nervous and scared, but I came out feeling much better. I will see her again and recommend her.
I felt safe in here medical care
Very thorough - does not rush the patient. Like the fact that she studied the elderly
she was very caring, took her time listening.
