About Ruby De La Torre
If you are a new patient, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time, and remember to bring your photo ID, insurance cards, and referral if your insurance requires it. We will collect your copay or any balance due at the time of your appointment.
Ruby is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who earned her Master's in Family Nursing from Olivet Nazarene University. She completed her undergraduate degree at Purdue University Calumet.
Ruby's first language was Spanish. As a Registered Nurse, she spent many hours translating for physicians she worked with. This experience made her realize the need for Spanish-speaking providers and encouraged her to become a Nurse Practitioner.
Ruby is passionate about patient education and providing compassionate care. She has a special interest in treating acne and in the prevention and early detection of skin cancer.

Front desk staff was kind and attentive. Wait time was not even 5 minutes. Dr Ruby was attentive, kind and talked me through everything. She could tell I was nervous cause I had to get a spot removed. She talked to me the whole time and helped me relax while still taking care of me. Everyone was great for my first time with this office. I would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Doctor DE LA TORRE was very professional & friendly. She introduced herself then proceeded to listened to my concerns. I didn’t feel rushed and she addressed each problem. DR. De La Torre explained what was happening with me and explained a plan of treatment needed to hopefully remedy the problems. Not once did I feel like she was rushing me. I was very impressed for my first visit with her and would definitely recommend her to anyone needing a dermatologist.

The Staff was very friendly and professional. I was seen right away with very little waiting time. The Physician's Assistant (Ruby De La Torre) and the Medical Assistant (Marion) were very helpful and efficient. They had my procedure done very quickly and professionally. I will recommend Ruby to everyone I know that needs a Dermatologist.

i booked this appointment very last minute and i was unsure about the legitimacy. however i was highly impressed it was the only place that had my availability and a great distance. the whole entire experience was very simple. the doctor i chose was nice and considerate.

I chose her because she was close by my home. She didn't listen along with the medical assistant. The NP overlooked parts of the treatment, and I had to remind her to look at the whole treatment area. I would never recommend this office or provider to anyone.

The website didn’t mention that she only did dermatology. She made me feel rushed and unheard during the appointment. Sort of like she was running behind and trying to catch up. I’m now responsible for a copay for things I could’ve googled. I’m so mad about that but, there’s nothing I can do about it
