Getting to know Dr. Ruosi Liu
Dr. Liu is board certified in Adult Psychiatry. She primarily focuses on medication management but integrates therapeutic support into her sessions. For more in depth therapy needs, Dr. Liu encourages patients to have their own individual therapist.
She received her undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. She then moved to Morgantown, West Virginia to complete her psychiatry residency.
Dr. Liu has experience working with patients from different backgrounds in inpatient, outpatient, and partial hospitalization settings. She particularly enjoys working with young adults and areas related to women's health such as perinatal mental health. She welcomes people from all cultures and is LGBTQ+ friendly.

Because we accept insurance, we can reduce out-of-pocket expenses and still offer high-quality care. You may not have any cost related to your visit with us, depending upon your insurance plan. Most patients pay a small copay per visit, subject to any deductible or coinsurance that your health plan has. The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services determines appropriate billing guidelines. These guidelines depend on the length of the visit and the complexity and severity of your diagnosis. For this reason, we need to wait until after the visit for the final determination. We then submit the claim to your insurance company. The charges are calculated based upon pre-negotiated prices with your insurance company. Your insurance company will then determine what amount, if any, is your responsibility per your insurance plan.

I was scheduled and told that my insurance was accepted a month ago. A month later, at the time of my appointment, I received a call to inform me that my insurance in fact was not accepted. Had I known ahead of time, I could have scheduled somewhere else and actually received help. I am so disappointed as I actually needed this. Now, I will probably be waiting several additional months to be seen.

I would say this was one of the worst experiences I had with a mental health provider. Did not listen to my needs or concerns. The second the heard that had a chronic kidney condition they said I was not a good fit for their practice. The mental health concerns I have stem from the CKD. They don’t care about the patients well being, only their own liability. I would not recommend this provider or this practice to a stranger let alone a friend.

I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Liu very quickly. She really understood my case and was helpful in getting me what I needed. Prescriptions were also ordered very smoothly. Dr. Liu is fast and communicative.

Because they couldnt help me with medication they deactivated my entire account and wouldn’t help with just therapy. It has only been an hour since i was seen for my first visit and my entire account to communicate w the person i was seeing was fully deactivated.
Also sent me lists of other places to help me that are over 2.5 hours from my home and not accessible to me.

Dr. Lui was very disappointing, I don’t recommend if you are looking for actual help. Her bedside manner is poor (makes a very outward effort to speak like a Kardashian), VERY unprofessional. Kept asking me the same questions repeatedly because she wasn’t listening to my responses. Additionally their telehealth connection through Healow wouldn’t connect, had to reschedule my appointment for hours later and the office still had to call me to send me another link. At the end of the video call she hung up on me. Unfortunate how this provider approaches her work and patient care.

This was my first appointment, but Dr. Liu, seemed great! She listened, asked questions, and overall, I felt like she cared. I certainly could not complain.

Dr. Liu is very well read and friendly. She was receptive to my comments and concerns, and very thorough when explaining her recommended treatment plan to me. I enjoyed meeting with her and feel safe and informed in proceeding with treatment under her care.
