What should a new client know about working with you?

I’m a doctorally-prepared, board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, and I treat you as the expert on your own lived experience. I bring the clinical expertise; you bring what your life actually looks like. We decide a path forward together. A few practical things: • I offer in-person visits in Bellevue and video visits anywhere in Washington. • I speak English. • I’m in-network with most major commercial plans. If you’re out of network or paying out of pocket, my initial evaluation is $300 and follow-ups are $175. I offer sliding-scale rates and flexible payment plans — please ask. • If you’re currently taking psychiatric medication, bring a current list to the first visit. It makes that session far more productive.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Initial evaluation (60 minutes). We cover your current symptoms, psychiatric and medical history, prior medication trials and how they went, family history, sleep, substance use, and the life circumstances shaping how you feel. I want the full picture before recommending anything. Where the picture is clear, we start a plan the same day. Where it isn’t, I’ll tell you that rather than guess. Treatment planning. You leave the first visit with a plan you understand: what we’re targeting, what we’re starting, what to expect and when, what side effects to watch for, and what we do if it doesn’t work. Follow-up. While we’re adjusting medication, follow-ups are usually every 2–4 weeks, then spaced out as you stabilize. Sessions include brief supportive therapy alongside medication management — not just a refill check. When first-line treatment isn’t enough. For treatment-resistant depression I’ll talk with you about advanced options including Genesight Testing, esketamine, rather than cycling you through a sixth medication. Between visits. You can reach my office with questions about side effects or refills. You don’t have to wait for your next appointment to raise a concern.
