Getting to know Ruth Morales

I am a Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in Pennsylvania with over 15 years of clinical experience providing thoughtful, patient-centered psychiatric care via secure telehealth. I specialize in adult and adolescent ADHD evaluations and treatment, as well as the management of anxiety and depressive disorders. Many of the individuals I work with are high-functioning adults, students, and parents who have struggled for years with focus, organization, overwhelm, or emotional burnout and are seeking clear answers and effective treatment. My approach is collaborative, respectful, and individualized. I take time to listen carefully, explain diagnoses in a clear and practical way, and partner with patients to develop treatment plans that align with their goals, responsibilities, and daily lives. Appointments are structured, unrushed, and focused on real-world improvement—not just symptom checklists. All services are provided through a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, allowing patients across Pennsylvania to access care conveniently and consistently. I accept private pay and most major commercial insurance plans. Appointments are offered on limited telehealth days, and availability may vary.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients should know that I offer a collaborative, structured, and supportive approach to mental health care. I take time to listen carefully, understand your concerns, and involve you actively in treatment decisions. Care is never one-size-fits-all. Together, we identify your strengths, goals, and priorities to develop a treatment plan that is practical and aligned with your daily life. Depending on your needs, treatment may include medication management, supportive psychotherapy, and lifestyle-based strategies to promote both symptom improvement and long-term functioning. My goal is for you to feel heard, informed, and empowered, with a clear understanding of your treatment plan and the confidence to move forward with support.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The process begins with a comprehensive first session that focuses on understanding what brings you to care, your current concerns, and your treatment goals. This initial visit is a thoughtful and supportive conversation designed to help you feel comfortable while we clarify what support will be most helpful. I also gather relevant background information, including personal history, relationships, work or school functioning, and any previous mental health treatment. This allows me to develop a clear, well-rounded understanding of your needs and create an individualized treatment plan tailored to your symptoms, goals, and daily life. Ongoing sessions focus on monitoring progress, adjusting treatment as needed, and supporting meaningful, sustainable improvement over time.

Ruth or Ms. Morales was great. She listened to everything is had to say without interruption and I think she understands my issues and probably why I do the things I do and perhaps why I have the issues to begin with. It was only our first meeting but I feel confident she will be able to help me overcome my “vices” and behavioral issues. I would like to meet one on one in person but I’m not sure if that’s how this works. In any case, so far so good. She prescribed me medication that helped me fall asleep and stay asleep.

Dr. Morales was very receptive to my symptoms and open to hearing me out fully, which is always great in a doctor, and sometimes not always the norm! She was exceptionally welcoming and accepting, and I never felt judged during our sessions. I felt like getting diagnosed and starting treatment was much less overwhelming because of this. I would, and have, recommended her to others!

Ms. Morales was very friendly upon my initial consultation and was very interested in helping with my concern. Easy to talk to and immediately provided some coping mechanisms to address the issue at hand.

Ruth is very kind and an excellent listener! She is friendly, knowledgeable, and provided me with everything that I needed for my first visit. I look forward to our next appointment in two weeks! I highly recommend Ruth based on our initial session.

Love her she’s a sweetie
Verified patientVideo visit
Dr. Morales was very professional, caring, and went above and beyond to satisfy my medical needs. Highly recommend! I was charged by ZocDoc out of pocket for my visit and not my insurance. This is a little concerning for me but I'm sure I'll be able to resolve the issue since it was my first time using them.
