What should a new client know about working with you?

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I provide comprehensive mental health evaluations, medication management, and personalized treatment plans tailored to your unique needs and goals. I believe healing begins with a trusting therapeutic relationship built on open communication, collaboration, and empathy. My approach is centered on helping you feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout your mental health journey. What is your typical process for working with clients?

At Evenna Ment, we have created a streamlined, patient-centered process to make your experience as smooth and comfortable as possible. Your journey begins with completing intake forms before your appointment or upon arrival. These forms help us understand your medical and psychiatric history, current concerns, family history, substance use, and other important information needed to provide personalized care. You'll also review and sign consent forms for treatment, telehealth (when applicable), and privacy practices. Your initial psychiatric evaluation is typically 60–90 minutes with a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). During this visit, we'll discuss your symptoms, mental health history, medical history, current challenges, and treatment goals. A comprehensive mental status examination and functional assessment help us develop a clear understanding of your needs. If you are seeking an ADHD evaluation, please note that standardized ADHD testing is completed during a separate appointment before meeting with your provider to review the results. This additional assessment session typically takes about 30 minutes. We will carefully review your current medications, previous psychiatric treatments, medication effectiveness, side effects, allergies, and any relevant medical conditions. When appropriate, we coordinate care with your primary care provider, therapist, or pharmacy to ensure safe and effective treatment. Using evidence-based DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria, we develop an accurate diagnosis while considering the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence your mental health. Together, we create a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) when appropriate, psychotherapy referrals, lifestyle recommendations, and ongoing follow-up care. Throughout your treatment, we believe in open communication, shared decision-making, and compassionate care. Our goal is to hel
