What should a new client know about working with you?

Welcome! As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Perinatal Mental Health provider, I have advance training to treat mental illness. I am able to asses, diagnose, and manage psychiatric illnesses. My style of practice is holistic, collaborative and integrative. In simple terms, we are partners. We will look at the different aspects of you like your physical, social, spiritual, experiences and how they shape you as an individual. Care is integrative because it will include important lifestyle elements of: sleep, nutrition, exercise, healthy relationships to cultivate wellness. The communication is expected to be respectful, honest, open-minded, and judgement free on both sides. I will aim to make you comfortable so you can just be yourself and work towards a better you, tomorrow.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Starting from our first visit, you can expect me to put forth my best professional abilities and I will expect you to be an active participant on your journey to wellness. The initial psychiatric evaluation ( 60 mins ) focuses on your unique journey , symptoms, goals that will guide the treatment plan we create together. Follow-up appointment ( 30 mins) frequencies are personalized to assess treatment plans, progress, and other issues that arise. Improvement rates varies and also depends on your level of motivation. I hope to create an environment in which respect, transparency, and trust is reciprocated so you can be yourself and free from judgement.
