Dr. Wiska is a native of metro-Detroit and obtained his Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Hillsdale College where he was also a member of the football team. Having experienced a severe ankle injury as a collegiate athlete, he learned first hand the importance of proper care and recovery and developed a passion for the field of podiatry. After obtaining his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Wiska returned to metro-Detroit for his surgical residency at Beaumont where he was named top surgeon in his class. He is experienced in minimally invasive surgery, trauma of the foot and ankle, sports medicine, and advanced foot and ankle reconstruction. While specializing in these areas, he enjoys treating all ailments of the foot and ankle. He serves on the foot and ankle trauma team at Trinity Hospital in Livonia and has lectured and taught surgical techniques to podiatrists across the country. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and Board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in both Foot and Rearfoot & Ankle Reconstructive Surgery.
