*After booking, you will receive a link via IntakeQ so you can complete required intake forms prior to your appointment* I’m a psychiatric nurse practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Columbia University. My clinical focus is on the quality of our interpersonal relationships, whether with a partner, family member, friend, or colleague, because I believe these connections are among the most powerful influences on our well-being. I approach mental health through the lens of whole-person care. This includes biological support like medication, lifestyle practices that nurture your physical and emotional health, and therapy as a place to explore and transform what’s holding you back. For many people, therapy is where change truly begins. It’s where we understand the invisible barriers that keep us stuck, develop healthier communication patterns, and build the confidence to form deeper, more fulfilling relationships. I have experience treating a wide range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, complex PTSD, premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), and emotional stress related to identity or life transitions. I also help patients navigate new or evolving diagnoses, re-evaluate their current medications, and identify what’s no longer serving them. I use an eclectic approach to psychotherapy, drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing. CBT helps you recognize and shift unhelpful thought patterns. DBT emphasizes emotional regulation and distress tolerance. Motivational interviewing supports change by strengthening your internal motivation and confidence. What drew me to this work, and continues to inspire me, is seeing people reclaim their voice and agency. I know the difference it makes to feel truly seen.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Before any deep therapeutic work can happen, you need to feel safe, understood, and accepted for exactly who you are right now. That’s the foundation we’ll build together. I aim to create a space where every emotion is welcome: tears, laughter, silence, anger, and everything in between. There’s no “right way” to be here. Our sessions are your time, and I will always move at a pace that feels right for you. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model. My approach is collaborative and grounded in respect: you are the expert on your own life. My job is not to tell you what to do, but to support you as a trusted partner, offering clinical guidance while honoring your lived experience. Whether we’re working on medication, therapy, or both, I’ll tailor your care to your biology, identity, and preferences. I understand the importance of representation and inclusivity in mental health care, and I am committed to culturally sensitive, trauma-informed practice. I have particular experience supporting young adults, LGBTQ+ individuals, BIPOC patients, trauma survivors, and those managing anxiety, ADHD, and mood spectrum disorders.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session is about getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions to better understand what’s bringing you in, what your goals are, and how you’ve been coping. If we’re exploring medication, I’ll walk you through options transparently and collaboratively, ensuring that any treatment aligns with your preferences and values. If we’re focusing on therapy, we’ll begin building insight into the patterns, thoughts, or emotions that are impacting your relationships and overall well-being. Over time, we may explore communication tools, emotional regulation strategies, or how to set boundaries without guilt. If you’re taking medication, we’ll monitor your response closely and make adjustments as needed. Think of therapy as a partnership. You bring your questions, your hesitations, your hopes. I’ll bring my expertise, my full attention, and a deep respect for your autonomy. Together, we’ll create a plan that supports your growth, whether that means building healthier relationships, navigating a life transition, or finding relief from emotional pain. Everyone deserves care that fits their life, not the other way around. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start. You just have to show up, and we’ll take it from there.
