Getting to know Sabina Onwonga

I’m Sabina Onwonga, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. I have been providing patient-centered healthcare since 2020 and currently serve patients in both Texas and New Mexico. My approach to mental health care is compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based. I believe every patient deserves to feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment decisions. I take time to understand not only your symptoms, but also how your experiences, relationships, work, family, and daily life may be affecting your emotional well-being. I provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing mental health care for adolescents and adults experiencing concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma/PTSD, insomnia, and other behavioral and emotional challenges. My dual certification in psychiatric and family practice allows me to approach mental health with a broader understanding of the connection between physical and emotional wellness. At Radiant Souls Psychiatry, my goal is to provide a welcoming, no-judgment environment where patients can feel comfortable discussing their concerns and working toward meaningful, sustainable improvement. I offer both in-person and telehealth appointments, with convenient access to care for patients in Texas and New Mexico. If you are looking for a provider who will listen, collaborate with you, and develop an individualized treatment plan, I would be honored to be part of your journey toward better mental health.

My goal is to help you better understand your mental health, explore appropriate treatment options, and work toward greater stability and well-being.
