“Dr. Popatia is one of my favorite health practitioners. This is my second time seeing her and I'm always greeted with a big and warm smile, I never feel uncomfortable, and we get right into the issues and possible solutions. The problems are a point of intrigue for her, she asks a lot of questions on how the condition makes me feel, and it's complimented with curiosity on how we can solve it together. I also noticed she treated everyone with the same level of respect and warmth, regardless of race- which is so greatly appreciated. There was no wait at the office and they had skin care samples for me to take home. Ample and clean waiting room and patient rooms as well. ”

About Dr. Sabrina Popatia
Dr. Sabrina Popatia is a board-certified dermatologist serving the Manhattan and Brooklyn communities. She completed her undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University, followed by medical school at Baylor College of Medicine, during which she obtained a Master in Public Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She completed her internship at University of Illinois-Chicago and her dermatology residency at Medical College of Wisconsin, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year.
She enjoys practicing medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology and treating a diverse patient population for their skin concerns, including but not limited to acne, eczema, psoriasis, hair loss, skin cancer, and skin rejuvenation. When she is not seeing patients, she enjoys catching up with friends and family, experimenting with new recipes, and staying active in the city.

Dr Popatia is one of my favorite doctors of all time. She's knowledgable, without being intimidating, and it feels like one of my smarter friends is explaining things when we talk. I also never wait at her practice, and the lobby and rooms are clean and comfortable. Dr. Popatia is an absolute gem!

I recommended my friend to see Dr.Sabrina. She was friendly and quickly diagnosed my condition, the prescription worked like a charm. However, I received a surprising bill for first time patient management fee. I contacted the office and was told it was my responsibility to contact my insurance company before hand. The fee was never disclosed in advance, 0 transparency. No matter my insurance would cover the first time patient fee or not, by state law it should be disclosed in advance, not until a month later when I received the surprising bill. The email I received from the patient support blamed everything on me and I felt gaslighted.

Dr Popatia was very attentive and thorough. She did not dismiss any of my concerns but instead addressed them (unlike my previous dermatologist): for example when I pointed to a dermatofibroma I would like to have surgically removed she gave me the procedure codes so I could call my insurance to see how it would be reimbursed. I appreciated that.
She is also very personable.

Great experience. Dr.Popatia took time to answer my questions and to assure me in a very friendly manner about a small procedure needed for my situation. Office staff are really friendly and courteous. Waiting time is a little bit long and the waiting area is somewhat limited.

- Nurse who screened me was very unprofessional. Kept yawning, quite rude, and kept giving me condescending looks if I had clarifications or questions.

I recently had to switch dermatologists after seeing my last doctor for several years. I was having new issues that my old doctor was not able to diagnose or seem to be concerned about. Dr Popatia was able to assess my concern immediately and come up with a treatment plan.

The doctor was amazing as well as Veronica. I will. Devon will be coming back here, and she will not be my regular dermatologist. She actually listened to me and as a woman of color we don’t get that too often and she did prescribe me something that does work for my skin as well as my hair texture. I will give her a 10 out of 10 as well as Veronica in the front desk. Staff was really nice and knowledgeable. It was quiet and clean. I was seeing at my appointment time.

My appointment was on Halloween so it was also busy with kids and adults trick or treating with adults even receiving a skin care treat! The receptionist was patient, friendly, helpful, and professional with all. I was promptly seen and had many questions. With the office closing soon for the night, all my questions were answered, treatment given and all with the same patience, professionalism, and friendliness. I would highly recommend Dr. Popatia to friends and family.
