Getting to know Sabrina Ritchie

I’m Sabrina, a dual board-certified Nurse Practitioner with nearly two decades of healthcare experience—10 as an NP. I hold a Master’s in Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nursing from Regis University and a Post-Master's Certificate in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Regis College. Beyond titles, I deeply understand stress, anxiety, and burnout, and how hard it can be to seek help or feel like more than just another appointment. That’s why I created Thoughtful Therapies—to offer something different. I believe mental health care should be as unique as the person receiving it. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to take control of your well-being. I see you as the expert in your experience and offer tools and support to help you heal in a way that truly resonates with who you are. At Thoughtful Therapies, I take a whole-body, integrative approach to mental health. Your emotional well-being is connected to your physical health, lifestyle, and stressors. I look beyond symptoms to uncover root causes and create a care plan tailored to your needs. Whether navigating anxiety, burnout, hormonal shifts, or chronic stress, I offer compassionate, science-backed strategies to restore balance and help you feel like yourself again. With personalized care blending evidence-based practices, lifestyle interventions, and mind-body techniques, I go beyond traditional mental health care to offer real, lasting change. You deserve to feel vibrant, resilient, and in control of your mental health—and I’m here to help you get there. Disclaimer: Thoughtful Therapies does not prescribe or manage controlled substances via telehealth, as they require closer monitoring for safe and effective use. If you need medication management involving controlled substances, please consult an in-person provider or specialist.

What should a new client know about working with you?

A Personal, Whole-Body Approach to Mental Wellness At Thoughtful Therapies, mental health care is more than just managing symptoms—it’s about addressing the root causes of stress, anxiety, and burnout. I take an integrative, whole-body approach to mental wellness that considers your mind, body, lifestyle, and overall well-being. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all practice. Every session is personalized, thoughtful, and designed for you. Virtual Care, Real Connection All appointments are 100% virtual, allowing you to get the care you need from the comfort of your home or office—without the hassle of commuting or waiting rooms. I ensure every client gets compassionate, individualized care with a focus on science-backed strategies and sustainable solutions. What It’s Like to Work With Me A Judgment-Free Space – Your story matters. I take the time to truly listen and understand what you’re experiencing. More Than Just Medication – While medication can be a tool, it’s not the only option. We explore nutrition, sleep, stress management, and lifestyle factors to create a plan tailored to you. Root Cause Approach – I look beyond symptoms to help you restore balance and resilience, so you can feel better long-term—not just in the moment. Convenient, Flexible Virtual Appointments – No need to rearrange your life for an appointment. Get expert care wherever you are in Massachusetts. What to Expect at Your First Visit Your first appointment is an in-depth conversation about you—your symptoms, history, lifestyle, and goals. We’ll create a personalized plan that fits your needs, whether that includes medication, holistic strategies, or a combination of both. You don’t have to push through this alone. Let’s create a plan that works for you. Disclaimer: Thoughtful Therapies does not prescribe or manage controlled substances, including but not limited to benzodiazepines, stimulants, or opioids.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Step 1: The Initial Consultation (60 minutes, virtual) Your first session is a deep dive into you—your symptoms, health history, lifestyle, and personal goals. I take the time to truly listen so we can identify the root causes of what you're experiencing. During this session, we’ll discuss: ?? Your current challenges—mental, emotional, and physical symptoms ?? Your past experiences with treatment (what’s helped, what hasn’t) ?? Your sleep, nutrition, stress levels, and overall lifestyle ?? Whether medication, supplements, or holistic strategies might be right for you Step 2: Follow-Up Sessions (30 minutes, virtual) Follow-up appointments focus on tracking progress, adjusting treatment as needed, and refining your care plan. This might include: ?? Reviewing how any medications, supplements, or lifestyle changes are working ?? Introducing stress resilience techniques or other science-backed strategies ?? Addressing challenges and making adjustments to optimize results My goal is to empower you with strategies that fit your life—not just a prescription pad. Medication vs. Non-Medication Approaches While I can prescribe medication when appropriate, I also offer non-medication strategies for those who are private pay and prefer a more holistic approach. We’ll discuss all available options, so you can make an informed decision that aligns with your goals. Do I Offer Talk Therapy? I integrate therapeutic conversation into sessions, but I do not provide formal weekly psychotherapy. If you’d benefit from ongoing talk therapy, I can collaborate with your therapist or refer you to one who aligns with your needs. Is Thoughtful Therapies Right for You? ?? You’re looking for a root-cause approach to stress, anxiety, and burnout ?? You want a collaborative, judgment-free space where you’re truly heard ?? You’re open to both science-backed and holistic strategies ?? You appreciate virtual care that fits into your busy life
