About Dr. Sadia Bashir

My training as an osteopathic physician is grounded in treating the mind, body and spirit which is reflected in my approach to patient care. I find fulfillment in connecting with patients and building strong relationships. I believe this to be fundamental in creating a path forward to better health. Medicine is both a science and an art. I like to use evidence-based medicine to inform my decisions and discussions with patients. At the same time, I understand that patients are at different stages in their lives and fully support meeting them where they are in order to create realistic and achievable plans together. My patients put their trust in me and I respect them by doing my best and asking the right questions, even if it may be difficult. I strive to dig deep and find the root causes of issues. Part of this is careful, active listening. So often, patient illnesses are uncovered just by listening. I go by Sadia and my pronouns are she, her, hers. To stay healthy and happy, I pray, practice and learn about my faith with sincerity, which helps keep me focused and centered. I recharge by spending quality time with family and friends, whether over a delicious meal, cup of chai, going for a walk, or out on a hike. I love to learn about different cultures and plan to travel to different countries to experience the beauty of this world and all its peoples. Language learning is also a hobby of mine; I'm interested in Arabic and Spanish, along with fully learning Urdu/Punjabi (which I can mostly understand but can't speak as fluently). My guilty pleasures include binge-watching K-dramas or anime. Currently, I'm getting into weightlifting and yoga to maintain mobility and strength in my everyday life.
