Getting to know Dr. Sajid Arshad
I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist, trained in both Adult Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I earned my Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Dow Medical College. My mission is to treat my patients as whole persons. I believe mental health cannot be treated in isolation and that it is essential to approach each patient as a complete individual.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I specialize in: ADHD, Childhood/Adolescent Anxiety, Depression, Behavioral Disturbances. I also specialize in adult treatment such as: Anxiety with its different types such as Generalized or specific Anxiety. Major Depression Panic Disorder Psychosis OCD Limited Treatment of Substance use disorder.
Life can be challenging sometimes. As humans, we help each other in many ways. Just like anybody else, I also went through some difficult times. I was fortunate that people could help me. Now I want to be there for someone going through difficult things and challenges. I want to be available, reliable, and responsible for your mental well-being.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I not only prescribe medications for mental health issues but also provide supportive and cognitive therapy.
In addition, I also prescribe medications for children who has difficulty focus, attention and school performance.
Due to state regulations, in order to provide a prescription for a Controlled Substance (Xanax, Adderall, etc.), Bright Future Psychiatry must complete an in-person assessment for the first appointment. A plan of care will be required prior to providing a prescription. This is only required for Controlled Substances and may not be needed for alternative medications.
