About Salma Balbas
Salma is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in dermatology. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Society from the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Baylor College of Medicine. While at Baylor, Salma was honored with the Henry D. McIntosh Award, given to the graduating student who demonstrates the highest level of academic excellence and service and best exemplifies the physician assistant profession.
Salma understands that skin conditions can be both physical and emotional burdens. She believes in partnering with patients to make managing these conditions easier, tailoring treatment plans to each patient's lifestyle and goals while using evidence-based medicine to provide the best care.
In her free time, Salma enjoys traveling and trying new restaurants!

She took the time to listen to my concerns and review the bag of products I had taken in. She addressed my concerns and prescribed me a cleanser and medication to help with my acne problems.

Salma was so sweet and patient with my skin concerns. She made sure to go over every detail and my medical history to provide me with the best optione. Her bedside manner is amazing, doesn’t make you feel like you’re wasting her time (rushing you) and sits down to listen to your concerns. Highly recommend her office and her staff is so kind!
