About Dr. Sam Moghtaderi
Dr. Moghtaderi is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty certification in the surgery of the hand. He specializes in treating problems of the hand, wrist, and elbow, both with and without surgery. This includes fractures, trauma, sports injuries, ligament tears, as well as common hand conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, and tendinitis. Dr. Moghtaderi also has a special interest in medical informatics and the use of information technology to improve clinical practice and patient care.
He is a graduate of Yale College and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he also completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery. He completed fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Prior to joining the George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, Dr. Moghtaderi was Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and an Attending Physician at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City.
Dr. Moghtaderi is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the District of Columbia Society for Surgery of the Hand.

Securing appointments through Zocdoc is a breeze. I have seen this doctor before and as it has always been the case, he is very professional, knowledgeable and listens to my concerns. I highly recommend him. If you ever have any orthopedic related discomfort in your hands, wrists and/or elbows, he is the guy to go. I just had surgery and the incision site is healing well. The scar will be almost unnoticeable.
