About Samantha Gerish
Samantha Gerish is a Certified Physician Assistant specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
She approaches her patients with empathy and listens carefully to their complaints and concerns. She wants her patients to feel heard as part of their healthcare plan. Prior to working in dermatology, Samantha spent four and a half years in primary care/internal medicine, caring for patients with a wide range of medical conditions and focusing on preventative healthcare. She uses this valuable experience in her dermatology practice to provide a more well-rounded approach to a patient’s health, diagnosis, and treatment.
Samantha graduated from the Monmouth University Physician Assistant Program with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, where she received the award of Academic Excellence for graduating first in her class. In addition, she was honored to be inducted into the Pi Alpha National Honor Society for Physician Assistants, an honor awarded to those who excel in academics as well as leadership and service. Prior to earning her master’s degree, she graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University.
She completed the Schweiger Dermatology Group’s Advanced Practice Provider Training Program, a rigorous fellowship designed to provide academic and clinical training under seasoned top dermatology providers.

Dr. Gerish is incredibly friendly and takes time to explain exactly what is needed from you as a patient. She answers every question thoroughly and truly listens to you, while also making you feel very relaxed in the office.

Samantha Gerish was very professional, she responded to all my concerns and gave me great advice. This was my first skin cancer screening test and she made me feel very comfortable. She also helped my son with acne issue.

Samantha Gerish was great. Only negative experience was the receptionist was rude and also coughed into her hands multiple times before handing me something to fill out. Just not great hygiene for a doctor’s office staff and the rudeness at the same time wasn’t a great welcome experience.
Will still go back for how great Samantha Gerish is.

Dr Samantha was very kind, listened to my concerns and then addressed them appropriately. Office staff is also friendly, will guide you well. Booking the appointment was a breeze, no hassle and availability was quick. Highly recommend Dr Samantha to anyone having concerns regarding their skin conditions.

It was my first visit to the area, and needless to say I got lost and was just a bit late for my appointment. However the staff was very understanding and friendly.
