About Samantha Hamlin
One of the qualities I love about being a dietitian is that I get to talk about food all day long! If I had an additional career, it might be in culinary arts. I completed the Didactic Program in Dietetics and earned my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition at the University of North Florida, graduating cum laude. While at UNF, I spent three weeks abroad in Italy studying the Mediterranean diet and agricultural practices. I went on to complete Florida Hospital’s Dietetic Internship Program, which is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND). I am certified in Functional Diagnostic Nutrition (FDN) and have practical and growing knowledge of intestinal permeability, or "leaky gut." I have a true appetite for life, enjoying activities such as kayaking, recreational and intentional exercise, running leisurely or in organized races, camping, and traveling. My profession is also my passion—applying diet to the healing process and providing patients with the tools to take back responsibility for their health. I am genuine, listen with intention, and easily connect with people in a unique and life-enriching manner.
