Getting to know Samantha Harlow
I’m Samantha Harlow, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a strong foundation in emergency and behavioral health nursing. I provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care for adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, sleep disturbances, and mood disorders to name a few.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe in meeting patients where they are and building a therapeutic partnership that supports your goals — whether that’s through medication management, psychoeducation, or lifestyle integration. I aim to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered in your journey toward mental wellness.
I offer telepsychiatry appointments to ensure flexibility and access. Let’s work together to create lasting change and restore balance in your life.
I know that life can be messy, overwhelming, and uncertain, and I strive to create a space where you can be fully yourself — no masks, no pressure to “have it all together”.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Seeking someone to talk to about what we have been experiencing can be a daunting and scary task. My goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible while we speak so that you feel as we are just holding a conversation, not having the 'typical' medical professional interaction, where you can truly be yourself and express yourself.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Be yourself!
Our first session I want to know everything about you that you are willing to share. Having a strong history starting at the beginning of treatment is like wanting a good strong solid foundation when building a new house.
At the end of our first session together we will continue to build on that foundation and will work towards realistically meeting your goals and expectations.
