What should a new client know about working with you?

You’re constantly overwhelmed with a million tasks on your to- do list. A list littered with everyone else’s priorities, and if your needs and wants make the cut they are always tucked in neatly at the very bottom of the list. You talk about your dreams with enthusiasm, but each day you wake to the same life you’ve had for years. You feel like you are wasting time during the week, just wishing for the weekend, but then spending your Sundays anxiously dreading Monday. It’s a vicious cycle that’s hard to stop. You feel out of control and you want to break out of autopilot. You’re ready to start the life you imagined and stop putting what you want on hold because of work, money, body size or the million other excuses you’ve given yourself. You’ve done the guided journals, self- help books and all the companion workbooks, but nothing has produced the outcome you want. You are ready because you are reading this. I’m here to support you! Through our work together it’s possible for you to escape survival mode and start living. My passion is to help people create a balanced life that honors their hopes, values, and dreams. I will strive to help you find the fuel to begin to thrive. Make yourself the priority and schedule your free consultation today.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session together will be an intake. I'll gather more information about what is bothering you and how you are feeling overall. I look at my client's dilemmas through a family systems lens, while also taking into account one's ethnicity, race, identity and other factors that might be contributing to one's distress. My clients notice that I'm very engaged, relaxed and passionate about helping them move through the therapy process.
