About Dr. Samer Abou-Rizk
Dr. Abou-Rizk is a highly specialized ENT surgeon. He completed his residency training at the American University of Beirut Medical Center. He then pursued two additional advanced fellowships in Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery at the University of Miami and Head and Neck Surgical Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. With this unique background and skillset, Dr. Abou-Rizk provides his patients with the latest, cutting-edge, minimally invasive techniques, treating a wide range of disorders including head and neck cancer as well as nose and sinus conditions. He is an active member of several academic associations including the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery, the American Head and Neck Society (AHNS), the North American Skull Base Society (NASBS) and the American Rhinologic Society (ARS) among others. Dr Abou-Rizk has presented his work and has been invited as a guest speaker at several national and international meetings.

Very hard to get to. No record of info submitted prior to appointment. Was left waiting for doctor for over 1 hour and when I asked for ETA they said another 30 mins. So I left. Worst experience of my life. Doctors are a dime-a-dozen. Go to Manhattan instead

The doctor gave me very detailed explanation of what could potentially be a problem and put me on a trial just to see what could the cause/problems be. Very attentive and nice staff and I was seen fairly quickly. The doctor is very polite and has excellent bedside manner.

Two words- He listens!
Dr. Abou-Rizq is exceptional. I went into his office mentally preparing myself to be brush off like I’ve experienced too often before, but he came in, sat, LISTENED, examined me, then discussed an action plan for my situation. He is gentle and kind and ensures that his patients feel heard. That was one of the most refreshing experiences I’ve had in a while. I wish more doctors were like him…we’d all have less health anxiety.

The office staff professional and friendly. They did announce there would be in the appointments but It was a long wait for the Doctor .But it was an emergency with another patient , so it was understandable.
Dr. Abou-Rizk was patient and listened and I didn’t feel like I was being rushed out. It was only my first time with this doctor but I left with a good impression. I do have a follow-up in just over a week, so I’ll see how it goes then.

Attentive, kind and thorough doctor who listened carefully and explained well. Patient advocate, PAs and other staff were professional and considerate. The wait was long only because the doctor spent a long time with the previous patient, which is a good indicator of his commitment to patient care. I’ve recommended him to a family member.

The doctor was great, friendly, and knowledgeable. However, the wait time was atrocious. The office charges a significant amount for parking. I was taken to the room by the nurse 15 minutes after my appointment time and then waited an additional 40 minutes for the doctor to arrive. Great experience with the doctor, but this kind of wait time is unacceptable. After the appointment, I was prescribed a medication. I went to go pick it up, only to find out the office had not sent it over yet! The prescription wasn't sent over for two hours after the appointment.
