With a dedicated commitment to mental health and wellness, Samirawit is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) specializing in the comprehensive care of individuals facing a range of mental health challenges. Holding a Master's degree in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Walden University, Samirawit brings over 15 years of experience in psychiatric nursing and advanced practice. She offers a holistic and patient-centered approach to mental health care for all who seek self-understanding and development.
What should a new client know about working with you?
The goal of the first few sessions are to build rapport, gain insight to who you are as a person, and for me to understand the challenges you are currently facing in your life. From there we collaboratively formulate a plan of care that is centered around your goals. My practice is grounded in evidence-based treatments and compassionate care.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
My process is to listen, ask questions to seek understand, obtain a detailed psychiatric and psychosocial history, discuss options, and collaboratively create a plan of care. I provide Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Processing therapy for client who I feel are in alignment with my therapy style.
