Samuel Gomez, MS, AMFT

Marriage and Family Therapist
2575 McCabe Way, Irvine, CA
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and finding someone you feel comfortable with matters. I believe therapy should be a welcoming, judgment-free space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported while being your authentic self. I enjoy working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and relationship challenges. My approach is warm, collaborative, and personalized to your unique needs and goals. Together, we’ll work to better understand what you’re experiencing, develop practical tools to cope with life’s challenges, strengthen your relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change. I incorporate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). My goal is not simply to help you get through a difficult moment, but to help you develop greater self-understanding, confidence, and skills you can carry with you beyond therapy. You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out. If you’re ready to feel more supported and begin creating positive change, I’d be honored to work with you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Starting care is a collaborative process, and we’ll take it one step at a time. We’ll begin by getting to know you, understanding what brings you in, and learning more about your goals, needs, and concerns. From there, we’ll work together to develop a personalized approach that feels comfortable and realistic for you. As we continue working together, we’ll check in regularly, make adjustments when needed, and celebrate progress along the way. My goal is for you to feel heard, supported, and comfortable throughout the process. You don’t have to navigate it alone.
