Hello Athlete! My name is Sam Palmer, and I've been a Family Nurse Practitioner for half a decade, working in the ER and Primary Care settings. Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, I was an RN for 7 years, spending 6 of those years in the ER. I earned my Master's in Family Nursing from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. My goal in caring for you is to empower you so that I don't have to see you! I want to help you understand your body and your health so you can live the healthiest life possible.
I take a holistic approach, believing the body, mind, and spirit all work in tandem and affect each other. I value patient-practitioner collaboration and pride myself on explaining health processes in understandable and empowering ways.
A little more about me personally-soccer was my first love. I started running for soccer conditioning, which sparked my second love. I ran D1 Cross Country and Track at the University of North Florida and got within 8 seconds of breaking 15 minutes for the 5k. It's still the dream to break 15...
Helping me practice and run are my main loves-my supporting and brilliant wife, Chelsey; my joyful son, Pax; and my firecracker daughter, Sophie :)
