About Dr. Samuel Schwarz
We are a fully accredited facility with New York State through the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities. We have an anesthesiologist present in our facility, as well as all required emergency equipment and medicines.
Dr. Schwarz is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Johns Hopkins University and received his Doctor of Medicine from the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Lenox Hill Hospital. Dr. Schwarz is licensed to practice in New York and is affiliated with Lenox Hill Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital.
He and his friendly staff are eager to welcome new patients and provide them with a wonderful medical experience!

I arrived for my confirmed appointment, 19 minutes early, as I already completed the paperwork on ZocDoc. I then filled out more paperwork and continued to wait. The front seat gentleman told me it would be a few minutes. Nearly 30 minutes of waiting, the other patient who was the before me, asked how much longer and if the doctor was even in the office yet. The front desk staff let the patient know that the doctor was not in the office and was just running late.
This was so unacceptable. People who run late are people who think their time is more valuable than others. It is rude and inconsiderate. This patient had been there over an hour. I confirmed that the doctor was not in the office and their was another patient in front of me before I left.

I trust the doctor and liked his approach however I had a lot to say and I should have written it out beforehand. I don't know which one of us felt rushed because I was stressed out to begin with.

The doctor did my colonoscopy last year.
I’ve had many and I have to say, this was the best experience. As a women we all the the embarrassment of the procedure but this Dr Schwartz has a way about him that made me comfortable. I trust his knowledge and skill . I went back to him again as I have irritable bowel, and I had a possible emergency, he manage to get me a CT scan hours after my appointment. I’m waiting for results. I’m glad he’s the doctor in charge.

He told me he wasn’t the doctor for me. He stopped practicing that area of gastrointestinal medicine 20 years ago.

My experience with Doctor Schwarz was good. I did have to wait a little over 30 minutes for my first consultation but the Doctor immediately apologized for the wait. My second appointment I had little to no wait. After my procedure the Doctor clearly explained his findings and suggestions for improving my symptoms. I would have no problem seeing him again in future as he was very professional and knowledgeable.

I am an entrepreneur and a business owner. I am mentally sound, answering to customers and investors alike. I have no apparent physical disease, other than a mysterious set of GI issues that flare about once yearly, when I’ve been under duress for a time.
Oh, did they mention I am a woman?? Dr. Schwarz just short of suggested I suffer from “hysteria”. You know, like they did with the women (witches?) in the Middle Ages!!
Yes, my “crime” was being emotional about my predicament that has persisted this time for about three weeks now. I explained my case coherently, but was told I should see a psychiatrist instead to handle my “emotional instability”. Kid. You. Not.
I was basically kicked out of his office in shame as he claimed he had “real patients to see”.
A TOTAL FAILURE OF THE MEDICAL PROFESSION. Shame on you!
