Meet Sandra “Sandy” Ileana Diaz O’Donnell: a certified physician assistant who has been practicing dermatology in the San Gabriel Valley for the past 29 years—with no plans on stopping any time soon!
Sandy’s favorite part of dermatology care is getting to know all of her patients on a personal level and building lifelong relationships around the specialty that she loves. She treats her patients like family, and she welcomes anyone that would like to join her ever-growing family. Sandy is well known in the community for her dedication to her patients. She is very happy to stay in the Pasadena/Arcadia communities to continue to dedicate her time to taking care of patients of all ages.
Sandy is married, has 4 adult children, and 5 beautiful grandkids. When she’s not in the office, she is spending her time playing with her grandkids in Los Angeles and Miami.

The text message I got to remind me about my appointment told me to arrive 15 minutes early. I did that and the office was closed for lunch so I was unable to get in for 15 minutes. If they weren’t going to be there they shouldn’t have asked me to come early. Just a little inconsiderate in my mind as my time is valuable as well.

I liked how setting up an appointment was easy and quick. Assistant who helped was also nice and helpful, I can't say the same for Sandra. I already know how my skin reacts and I've seen dermatologists previously for other skin issues so going to the doctor for me was just to see if the doctor could help me more than what the Internet had already given me info of -- the answer was no. If you just want a quick prescription, then come here. If you want someone with bedside manners, look elsewhere.

As a new patient, I was able to be seen by provider within days, instead of waiting weeks at some clinics.
Prior to appointment, office staff confirmed insurance so that I knew there were no surprises in payment from my appointment.
Once see, Provider was knowledgeable in my condition and knew treatments needed.

My experience with Dr. Sandra Diaz O'Donnell has always been amazing. I have been seeing her for years and since the very first appointment I had with her, I knew I was in good hands. She is knowledgeable, skillful, friendly, and the only doctor I have completely trusted to take care of my skin issues. I've had bad experiences with other doctors when trying to find a solution for my keloids especially, but Dr. Sandra (Sandy) has eased my fears and I walk into my appointments feeling like I'm home.
I would highly recommend Dr. Sandra Diaz O'Donnell for all of your derma needs!
