Parents quickly realize that I am passionate about what I do: being a pediatrician has been my dream since I was 3 years old I am completely committed to each child’s health and well-being, and care for my patients as if they were my own If there is a problem, I will do everything in my power to fix it I earned my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific I completed both my internship and residency at Children’s Hospital, gaining extensive hands-on experience in pediatric care Being a mom of three children, ages 6, 11, and 15, helps make me a better pediatrician I understand the concerns, fears, and pressures parents face What seems like a small issue to others can seem much bigger to a parent: education and reassurance can be as important as a prescription Although clinical skills are essential, the ability to listen carefully is often almost as vital I love getting to know my patients and their families so we have a strong relationship based on trust I’m a fan of thinking outside the box and teaching kids not only the importance of nutrition and exercise but also helping girls grow up with confidence and boys grow up to be gentlemen I am not a fan of constantly pushing kids to reach developmental milestones early—sometimes we need to remember to let children just be children One of the best moments as a doctor is when a new patient says they’ve chosen me because they’ve heard I really care There is nothing more important to me than the health and safety of your children As a strong advocate of vaccinations, I believe ensuring children visiting our office are fully vaccinated is the most important thing I can do to keep your children and community safe If you choose not to fully vaccinate your child, another physician may be a better fit for your family If you have questions or want more information on vaccinations, call our office.
