I told her about a poor experience I had with another nutritionist I met with and she made sure to listen to all of my concerns and I felt like she genuinely cared about my health. I was seen right away and we talked for the whole hour. She gave me a meal plan guide and some info about prediabetes which are all very helpful.”

I did not have a pleasant experience with the Nutritionist Sandra Stein. She seemed a bit arrogant and condescending. I wore open toe sandals to my visit and she "scolded" me for wearing them. Without examining my feet or checking my file, she insisted that I had neuropathy in my feet based on the fact that I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 16 (46 years). Even after I told her that I have regular visits every three months with my Podiatrist and he has found no evidence of neuropathy she still insisted that I had it. I expressed to her that I was experiencing episodes of hypoglycemia in the early mornings but that Dr Ginsberg had already made an adjustment to my Tandem pump. She then asked to see my pump and attempted to make another adjustment to change the bolus setting. She was tooling around with it and then admitted to me that she had no training with Tandem pumps. She then asked me how to change the bolus setting. I told her that I didn't know because my original Trainer Gail and Dr Ginsberg had entered all of my settings previously. I suggested that she contact Tandem for training. I won't be making another appointment with her.

Great visit! I learned a lot about the foods I was eating & she went over a meal plan that would be a better fit for me. She asked a lot of questions about my overall health history as well & took everything into consideration in my diet plan. Great listener & very supportive. I’ve been eating my new foods for a couple weeks & already feel a difference in my body. Less bloated overall & feel like I have more energy. Can’t wait to see her again for my follow up.
