Getting to know Santissa Clapp

At Edgecare360, we believe lasting change begins by addressing the whole person—not just the symptoms. Our goal is to help you identify the underlying factors affecting your mental health while providing the support, tools, and treatment needed to improve your overall well-being. Our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner works collaboratively with a team of therapists and wellness professionals to provide comprehensive, coordinated care. This integrated approach allows us to support your medication management journey while helping you build healthy coping skills, increase self-awareness, and achieve meaningful progress toward your goals.

What should a new client know about working with you?

We provide evaluation and treatment for anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, stress, trauma, life transitions, and other mental health concerns. Whether your treatment plan includes medication, therapy, or both, our team is committed to helping you feel empowered, balanced, and in control of your life. Edgecare360 proudly serves patients throughout Georgia through secure telehealth services. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR NEW PATIENTS • We contact all patients within 24 business hours of booking through Zocdoc. • Please ensure your phone number, email address, and insurance information are accurate and up to date. • After booking, you will receive access to our secure patient portal to complete intake forms, consent documents, and insurance verification. • All required paperwork must be completed before your appointment. Appointments may be rescheduled if documentation is incomplete. • Once confirmed, you will receive a Google Meet link for your telehealth appointment. Zocdoc is used for scheduling purposes only. • FMLA and Short-Term Disability paperwork may be completed only after an established treatment relationship has been developed, typically after a minimum of 6-8 completed sessions.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our approach begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation where I take the time to understand your symptoms, concerns, medical history, lifestyle factors, and treatment goals. Together, we will discuss what is working, what challenges you are facing, and develop a personalized treatment plan. If medication is appropriate, I provide education about treatment options, expected benefits, potential side effects, and ongoing monitoring. Follow-up appointments focus on evaluating your progress, making adjustments as needed, and ensuring you feel supported throughout the process. As part of the Edgecare360 team, I collaborate with therapists and other behavioral health professionals to provide coordinated care that addresses both symptom management and long-term wellness. Our goal is to help you develop a plan for wellness. That helps you feel heard, empowered, and equipped with the tools needed to achieve meaningful and lasting change.

It was our first meeting. it was kinda quick, not sure how long it should be or what to expect. I have a follow up booked.

She is great. Helped me out in a pinch with my kids meds when we were having a mini family crisis.
Talking to Santissa for the last few months have been very helpful. Therapy+ Empathy= win

Verified patient
I hate it when people show up late she showed up 10 minutes
Verified patient
Great advice and listener. I feel progress each time !
Verified patient
So fast and easy and was matched with a kind doctor.
Verified patient
First she was 20 minutes late. Within 7 minutes of actually being spoken I was told why I was there and she didn’t even talk to me in debt about past medication history. Also I felt rushed off the phone. If your looking for help it’s honestly better to attend an in person meeting. You truly don’t know what your getting with virtual and this is my third time having an issue with virtual.
Verified patient
she was absolutely great and helped me with what we needed to get to get me out of my depression I feel so much better just knowing that it will soon start working. she was very informative about the questions I had and about the type of medicine that I needed.
Verified patient
No major issues, but she isn't the greatest. To sum it up, she is always late, rushes appointments, and doesn't like to answer any questions. She acts like I am supposed to already know all about these medications. She is good for prescribing you your medication if you already know what you need. However, if you have any questions or need anything explained to you she will come off like she can't be bothered.
She is a great doctor!
Verified patient
Santissa was very nice. We discussed my issues and medications. She listened and offered suggestions. We decided on a plan going forward that I am comfortable with implementing. Santissa has a nice bedside manner and I appreciate her knowledge. I would recommend Santissa.
Verified patient
Very kind and straight forward, I am clearly able to understand what she is prescribing and video visits are extremely convenient
Verified patient
Thank you for your patience and helping me .
Verified patient
My Dr is amazing!
Verified patient
Santissa always listens and gives good advice.

She helped me!
Verified patient
Santissa is knowledgeable and is a strong advocate for treatment without the use of controlled substances. I respect and understand her reasoning. Many people struggle with addiction and it’s an epidemic that destroys communities. However, I feel her bedside manner can be vastly improved. She can come off argumentative and dismissive if she disagrees with you in the slightest. Due to her stance, at times during the appointment I felt uncomfortable with her tone when discussing the use of controlled substances prescribed by my previous physician. I feel there is some bias that should be unpacked. Not everybody is a seeker and tread carefully when 1. Speaking to other adult people. 2. Aware of how are you perceived verbally and non-verbally 3. Most importantly, remember you are working with fragile people who are seeking help with the brain. Compassion goes a long way. Overall, I appreciate her honestly and dedication to safely treating patients.
My experience is the practitioner gives no true regard to your wellbeing. I felt as if the main goal of the practitioner was not to truly help me feel better but to keep me coming back indefinitely thereby being an easy source of income.
A very sweet and capable healthcare provider.
Verified patient
I wouldn’t recommend anyone to this provider. She was over 15 minutes late and very combative. She has a very poor attitude. The visit will make you feel more overwhelmed after your visit with her, instead of creating a safe place where you can confide in her.
This is a great option to correct medication. I moved and needed my anxiety meds adjusted, she listened, asked good questions, and we are on a plan. Thank you
Verified patient
Santissa is so easy to talk to and an incredible listener. I look forward to our sessions and can't say enough great things about her!
Good listener, good info provided. Thank you!
Verified patient
She was very rude and didn't listen to me at all. She was 25 minutes late and jumped right into my medical history without introducing herself. When I told her I wanted a professional opinion on ADHD evaluation, she launched into a lecture on why I couldn't possibly have ADHD (without hearing any of my symptoms). DO NOT GO TO HER FOR THIS. She'll dismiss you and waste your time.
Verified patient
Very friendly and helpful. 10/10 recommend
Verified patient
Santissa Clapp is great! She not only explained the everything in depth, but she made sure that I was getting the correct treatment.
Verified patient
Santissa is great. She listened to me and gave advice on problems that no other provider had addressed. Glad to have found her.
Verified patient
professional yet personable.
Verified patient
Santissa is wonderful at aiding in self discovery. She promotes accountability and personal healing and is skilled in guiding you to the answer for yourself, while offering compassion and relatability. If you’re looking for a therapist that’s going to coddle you, always agree with you, or enable you, then she’s not for you. But if you’re willing to trust the process, do the work, and be open to hearing what you need instead of what you want, this is the woman for you. I’ve healed so much and discovered so much about myself since working with her. I’m stronger and love myself more now. Do the work- it’s profoundly worth it.
Verified patient
Establishment of the visit via scheduling, insurance processing, and connection with provider was efficient. Provider was attentive, explained things well in lay-terms, and seemed to convey empowerment to myself as the patient in terms of the goals and direction of care. I would highly recommend Santissa Clapp to anyone seeking such services.
Verified patient
Terrible. She is very rude and standoffish . Would never in a million years recommend her to anyone going through mental illness . She had the worst demeanor the whole appointment and made it super uncomfortable. Please avoid .
I felt very uncomfortable. I didn't feel welcomed maybe it was just me but I couldn't express everything that has been happening to me. I felt invalidated that I cried at the end of my appointment. Maybe our personalities weren't a match I'm not sure.
wonderful experience. She was timely and very clear, I felt like she really listened to me and was very well prepared. She asked all the right questions and made sure that i understood exactly what was being asked without making me feel dumb! I 100% recommend her to others, she was quick but not dismissive!
Verified patient
I think she addressed my key concerns and cares about the long term benefit of the patient. I highly recommend her and I will definitely see her again. I loved that the visit was Telehealth.
Verified patient
She talked at me rather than with me, and her tone is condescending. Like she was rushing me. She did not create an environment where I felt comfortable sharing or asking questions.
Ms Clapp was very helpful and a great listener..she even sang part of an old Luther Vandross song to help illustrate a point! Highly recommend!!
Verified patient
Dr Clapp was very insightful patient and helpful
Verified patient
doc was late to my appointment, didn’t listen, interrupted me while explaining my symptoms by telling me what i’m saying is wrong.. quick to diagnose everything else being wrong w me, made me feel worse than prior to my appt, dismissed and unheard
This is a very knowledgeable, professional and caring Dr. I am so glad we found her and she was able it immediately help us with my son. We appreciate her being on ZocDoc! Telehealth is so helpful as well.
Great Doctor. Attentive and asked the right questions. I left the meeting feeling better with homework on how to work on myself.
