“Even being fit and a veteran at the gym and in the kitchen, I was so impressed at the powerful information the Modern Nutritionist was able to bring. And the session and tools were fun and very customizable. Unlike other health professionals and gimmicks, having training and college education in diet and nutrition, Sara is able to create “Prescription” diets and menus. (And the recipes are actual delicious!) I had no idea other people cannot do this. So, it’s perfect for anyone with real health concerns, or just trying to break barriers. Leave your trainer’s bad tuna salad tips at the gym. I wish I’d had this at every stage in my life. It’s such an incredible investment in myself. I’ve been trying to lose baby weight and overall up the nutrition for my family with their unique bunch of dietary needs, likes, and age-related differences. I have to hide veggies in tasty food for my mom, avoid fats and salt, and make sure my anemia is in check—and my hubby has to like it. Sara is able to customize meals for me and my family (including a little tot, a not-dieting man, and my pre-diabetic GERD-having mom). The tools are amazing. I can interact with recipes and choose the level of time and prep I want. It’s super easy and about a million times more effective than an out-of-the-box app. Plus, because it’s a human, it’s not just playing and getting to know me. “I worked with Sara to gain control of my blood sugar and cholesterol after being diagnosed with prediabetes. With weekly coaching, I was able to lower my A1c from 6.7 (almost type 2 diabetic) to 5.6 and have maintained it ever since. I lost 22 lbs. over a period of 4-5 months and have kept off the excess weight ever since. My cholesterol used to be over 250 and now I maintain it under 150 with lower LDL and higher HDL. My doctor is thrilled with my results and says I am no longer at risk for diabetes and heart disease. Sara educated me about nutrition and motivated me to make changes in my diet. She taught me how to count and manage carbs in my diet, and taught me the difference between healthy and unhealthy carbs. Overtime, I adopted a lower carb lifestyle and eat less meat and dairy. I no longer keep sweets in the house, and I no longer crave sugar. Sara also worked with my wife to show her how to prepare healthy cooking at home. Her recipes are very tasty, and my wife still cooks a lot of her recipes for us today. I highly recommend Sara as a dietitian and continue to recommend her to a lot of my family and friends. ”
