About Sara Grey

Sara Grey is a board certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, born and raised in Richmond, VA. Sara comes from an all UVA family (Go Hoos!) and received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Sociology from the University of Virginia, where she focused much of her time working at the University’s Women’s Center in sexual assault and intimate partner violence programs. Her time spent working with women at UVA lead her to pursue a Master’s of Science in Nursing specializing in Women’s Health from Vanderbilt University in 2013.
Post graduation Sara headed to the DC area, working as a Labor and Delivery RN in Silver Spring, MD and as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in a family planning clinic in the Metro DC area. In the clinic Sara was able to focus on gynecological care throughout the lifespan with special interest in birth control options for women of all ages, LARC (IUD and Nexplanon) insertions, and the treatment of sexually transmitted diseases and vaginal infections.
Sara resides in Del Ray with her husband, John, and they are expecting their first baby boy in October of 2016. When not working Sara enjoys running, taking barre classes at Studio Barre Alexandria, baking, and restoring furniture.

Sara Gray is great and I do my best to get her for my appointment each year. She is kind, personable, is knowledgeable in her field and answered all my questions satisfactorily and was efficient in her exam.

NP Grey was very friendly and did a lot of education. The only thing that turned me off was her choice of words when I told her my birth control methods, stating that it was also known as "the anti feminist" birth control. Even if that is what it's known as, I don't think she should have mentioned that. I was a bit offended by the comment.

Sara Grey, NP was absolutely incredible. After a horrible experience with my last OBGYN, I was nervous to find a new practice and start somewhere new. This experience was so refreshing. The office was east to navigate, staff was friendly, and I was sent to get bloodwork which was conveniently right downstairs. I felt really heard and seen during this appointment. I appreciated being given the time to have all of my questions answered. I am so happy to have found this practice and won’t be going anywhere else!

I highly recommend NP Sara Grey. She's everything you would want in a provider: friendly, professional, a good listener who doesn't rush through your visit and has a calm and soft nature, which is always welcome in a medical setting where tension or anxiety can be high -- even for routine visits. The office itself is clean and professional with free and ample parking, which is also appreciated.

Sara stuck to what she was supposed to do for the appointments but other than that my other concerns were not really valued. It was just like a parent telling the kid that everything is okay but you knew you had the problem for so long and wanted to look into it deeply with a professional. Maybe got into a more detailed testing and stuff. If you come here for annual check it's fine.
