Sara Haynes, LMFT

Marriage and Family Therapist
2150 W. 29th Ave, Ste 125, Denver, CO
I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 8 years of experience supporting couples, families, and individuals in finding the confidence, clarity, and connection they're longing for. Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and an Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed approach, my work centers on helping you get unstuck from the patterns that keep getting in the way. We'll get to know those stuck parts together, without judgment or pathologizing, exploring how they once made sense in your life and understanding how they may now be standing between you and the security, confidence, and connection you're looking for. I enjoy working with couples navigating life transitions, new parents, those who are newly dating or married, or partners who have simply found themselves stuck. I also work with individuals experiencing life transitions, anxiety, burnout, and perfectionism.

Getting to know Sara Haynes

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 8 years of experience supporting couples, families, and individuals in finding the confidence, clarity, and connection they're longing for. What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with me looks less like being told what to do and more like having someone show up alongside you with humor, honesty, and a willingness to go where it actually matters. Together, we'll explore the patterns keeping you stuck, make sense of them, and get to a place of understanding what you are needing from yourself and those around you. As a relationally oriented therapist, I value the therapeutic relationship and always welcome honesty about what's working for you and what isn't. My hope is that you will leave sessions feeling like a person who is evolving on their growth journey, rather than a problem to be solved.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In the beginning, I enjoy getting to know clients, and each partner in a couple, through the lens of the systems they've been a part of. From family and community to the broader world, I get curious about what has made you you, and how those experiences have shaped the way you show up and relate to yourself and others. Identifying both the strengths and the challenges helps us track your patterns together and understand how to interrupt them in ways that leave you feeling more aligned in your life.
