About Dr. Sara James
Dr. Sara James is a dermatologist serving The Triangle Area of NC. She grew up in multiple states in the eastern half of the country, but has made North Carolina her home. She graduated from high school in Charlotte, NC, and went on to study at Duke University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience. She then attended medical school at the University of Virginia, where she discovered her passion for medical dermatology. Dr. James completed her internship in Pediatrics and her residency in Dermatology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. James has a special interest in educating patients about the prevention of sun damage and skin cancer. She is trained in treating both pediatric and adult patients, and performs cutaneous surgery as well as medical aesthetics treatments. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dog, as well as exercising and reading.
