Getting to know Dr. Sara Mollins

Whether you or your child are navigating emotional ups and downs, school demands, or difficult transitions, I will meet you with warmth, honesty, and collaboration so we can work toward steady and sustainable change. My priority is to understand your experience fully and create a space where you can show up as yourself while feeling supported to grow. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and parents at the intersection of emotional well-being, academic pressure, and family dynamics.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My foundation is in evidence-based care, and I integrate DBT-informed, CBT, and relational approaches in a flexible, individualized way. In therapy, we explore the patterns, histories, and values that shape your life while building concrete strategies for coping, emotion regulation, and more effective communication. For teens and young adults, this can include managing anxiety, mood shifts, school stress, identity development, and peer relationships. For parents, it can involve supporting your child while caring for your own well-being. Alongside my private practice, I work at a specialized therapeutic high school, supervise doctoral students, and lead DBT programming.
