Getting to know Sarah Casola

You are my passion. I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who believes that mental healthcare should be provided with understanding of, and respect for, the beliefs and values of each individual patient. I earned my Master’s in Nursing from Walden University and have worked in the medical field since 2004 as a nurses' aide, a medication aide, a Registered Nurse, and now, as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I decided to pursue a career in mental health due to my personal struggles resulting from life experiences that caused me to be in a dark place. I get it—life can be quite overwhelming sometimes. It takes a lot of courage to seek help, and since you are here, I applaud you for taking the first step toward keeping hope alive. I am committed to creating a no-judgment zone while facilitating your healing and, ultimately, improving your mental wellness and being. I focus on the psychological, social, and cultural needs of my patients as we work collaboratively to formulate a treatment plan. I value providing empathetic, kind, and culturally sensitive care. I like to meet each patient where they are in their journey and play my part in reaching mutually formulated goals. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, fur babies, and chickens, reading a book, or watching a movie.
